This Privacy Policy describes how SubScale handles information when you use the SubScale mobile application. By using the application, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy. This policy applies only to the SubScale application and its related services.
To provide app functionality and maintain reliability, we collect the following information.
Anonymous device identifiers generated by Google Firebase may be used for app functionality, crash reporting, and fraud prevention.
We collect crash logs and diagnostic data via Google Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Tools to monitor application performance and ensure stability.
Users may optionally provide an email address and/or mobile number for personalization purposes. Providing this information is completely voluntary, and the app functions without it. If provided, this information is securely linked to your unique identifier to personalize your experience.
SubScale is designed to be used immediately without requiring you to use an external account (such as a Google or Apple ID) or create your own account.
Subscription service names, categories, renewal dates, renewal frequency, payment methods (optional), costs and user-generated notes (optional) that the Users manually enter in the App are stored in a secure Google Cloud Firestore database and are linked only to an anonymous Firebase user identifier (UID).
Some subscription information may also be temporarily stored locally on your device to enable offline access and faster performance.
All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/SSL protocols.
We do not share or sell any data to third-party marketers or brokers.
The app is 100% advertisement-free.
To provide timely "Renewal Alerts" for your subscriptions, SubScale utilizes local device notifications. These alerts are scheduled and generated entirely on your device; we do not use external push notification servers to deliver them.
We will request your explicit permission before enabling alerts, and you can modify your preferences or disable them completely at any time within the app settings or your device's system settings.
Users have the right to delete their data. We provide a Self-Service Data Deletion tool within the app settings that allows you to:
SubScale is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not collect personal information from children.
SubScale is designed with a privacy-first philosophy. We intentionally collect the minimum amount of data necessary to operate the application reliably.
We do not build advertising profiles, we do not sell user data, and we do not track users across other apps or websites.
SubScale is an informational tool designed to help users track subscriptions and recurring expenses. It does not provide financial, investment, or payment services.
SubScale does not connect to Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Payment Gateways or Financial Institutions. All subscription details are manually entered by the Users.
SubScale is an independent subscription management tool. We use company logos and trademarks solely for the purpose of identifying subscription services for users.
SubScale is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the trademark owners whose logos appear within the app. All trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
SubScale may use trusted third-party services to support core app functionality and reliability. These services may process limited technical data necessary for their operation.
SubScale currently uses Google Firebase services:
We utilize Currency APIs — Frankfurter API and ExchangeRate-API for real time currency conversions.
iTunes Search API (App Store Service) and Google S2 Favicon API are used to fetch Brand Logos.
When these services are used, your device may temporarily communicate with their servers, which may result in the transmission of your IP address strictly for the purpose of fulfilling the requested functionality.
